A combined 18 champions, 11 men and seven women, from the 2007 BIG EAST Track and Field Championships will converge on Jumbo Elliot Track at Villanova Stadium May 2-4 for the 2008 BIG EAST Track and Field Championships.

He leads the conference triple jump, is third in the Mid-East Region and 14th nationally with a mark of 15.86m.

Louisville currently has six student-athletes ranked atop the men’s BIG EAST performance list, the most of any school. Freshmen Edmund Yeboah leads the 100 meters at 10.39 seconds while Michael Eaton has earned an NCAA automatic qualification in the 10,000 meters with his time of 28:41.96. Junior Rudon Bastian leads the conference with his NCAA regional-qualifying mark of 7.87m in the long jump and classmate Steve Hnat has notched a regional-qualifying toss of 17.85m in the shot put. Freshman Josh Greenwald leads the discus with his toss of 55.59m, meeting NCAA regional standards.
