KANSAS
CITY, Mo. - The 43rd Annual Men's and 28th Annual Women's NAIA Indoor
Track and Field Championships are right around the corner and last from
March 6-8 in Johnson City.
It will be the eighth straight year
that the Johnson City Convention and Visitor's Bureau will play host at
the Mini Dome inside the Memorial Center. The championship will include
nearly 1,000 student-athletes from 105 schools across the U.S. and
Canada competing in 42 different events contested in three days.
"We
are back in Johnson City for the eighth consecutive year because of the
tremendous efforts by the Chamber of Commerce and the championship team
they have assembled with partners like Milligan College, Eastern
Tennessee State University, the Carnegie Hotel and local businesses
like Sun Trust and McDonalds," said Ruth Stein, Manager of Championship
Sports. "Hosting a national championship is a huge undertaking, and
this Johnson City team goes the extra mile to make NAIA Indoor Track
and Field truly a first-class event."
