Chasing Kimbia - Conditions in Kenya ImprovingPublished by
While there is still much reconciliation and healing to occur, we are happy to note that conditions are improving in Kenya. A few hopeful signs from our perspective: The Kenyan national trials for March 30’s World Cross Country Championships were held without incident over the weekend. Kimbia runner Linet Chepkirui was 4th in the senior women’s 8K and was named to the squad for Edinburgh. Our friend Toby Tanser is soon returning to Kenya, and will hold a Peace Run. Kimbia’s own Peter Vigneron will travel to Kenya next week and spend four months there working on some of our Foundation projects.
