CHANELLE PRICE BREAKS HIGH SCHOOL 800 METERS RECORD AT COLGATE GAMES SERIES SEMI-FINALS Olympic Hopeful Heads To Madison Square Garden Finals With Scores of Track Stars of All Ages Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY (January 26) - Easton High School (PA) student Chanelle Price broke the Colgate Women's Games High School 800 Meters record yesterday, crossing the line in an incredibly fast 2:09.3. Price, an Olympic hopeful who has been on a streak of breaking women's track & field records this past year, will try to break her own record at the 34th Annual Colgate Women's Games Finals at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, February 2. The previous Games 800 Meters record was 2:09.73, set by Shola Lynch in 1986. "Chanelle is making incredible times, especially when you consider that the old record was set at the Garden, which is a faster track, with the runner wearing spikes.
