Monte-Carlo - In 2008, there will be TEN IAAF Golden League event disciplines designated to the Jackpot, six events for men and four for women, as follows:
 
Men: 100m, 400m, 1500m, 400m Hurdles, Long Jump, Javelin Throw

Women: 200m, 800m, 100m Hurdles, High Jump
 
IAAF President Lamine Diack said: “With three new disciplines in 2008, our goal is to provide an attractive range of events which will help us to promote some of the most exciting talents in our sport.”

The annual drama that is the season long campaign to claim the $1 Million Jackpot offered by the IAAF Golden League continues in 2008 with its ‘winner takes all’ ethos which was reintroduced in 2007.
