NORFOLK, VA. (WAVY.com)--Olympic Gold
didn't tilt the scales of justice for Tim Montgomery; he will face at
least five more years in prison. The 33-year-old former track star
pleaded guilty to federal heroin distribution charges. Montgomery
was scheduled to be on trial next week for his federal drug charges,
but because of the evidence federal agents have against him, his
attorney says they only thing to do was plead guilty. Tim
Montgomery is now waiting to hear how much longer he will be in
prison. The Former Norfolk State and Olympic track star was already
serving a four year sentence for his role in a counterfeit check ring
before entering a guilty plea on July 3. "Tim is optimistic and he want to proceed with life," said his attorney James Broccoletti. Montgomery
admitted to Federal Judge Jerome Friedman that federal agents caught
him with more than 100 grams of heroin. Investigators say they had
