TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Rutgers junior Brandon Burkhardt (Dallas, Pa.) of the men's track and field team earned a spot on the 2008 NCAA East Regional Team with his sixth-place performance at the meet this past weekend on the campus of Florida State University.

Burkhardt recorded a throw of 215' 7" to take sixth place in the javelin throw. He finished just three feet shy of qualifying for the NCAA Track And Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa.
