Each event line lists 4 things: 1)
the event; 2) the OT A-standard; 3) the number of athletes needed to
fill the fields (except in men’s 5K, where the number is already met);
4) the Olympic A-standard.
In a few events, where the FOT
field is not yet filled with B-qualifiers (e.g. wSP & DT), the OT
B-standard follows the A mark. Likewise, in the many events where all
the listed athletes have not met the Olympic B-standard, that mark
follows the Olympic A-qualification mark.
The first group of
athletes (above the row of asterisks) are the A-qualifiers for FOT,
including the auto exemptions (who have an asterisk preceding their
name). They are listed in alphabetical order.
Below the line
are the B qualifiers in order of qualifying mark. The first mark is
their best during the 2008 season (defined as 06/15/07 on by USATF
website).
