Rutgers swept the team titles in the Metropolitan Intercollegiate Championships yesterday at the Armory Track and Field Center in Upper Manhattan. The men won with 150 points and the women with 172.

The Manhattan College men were second (139 points) and Southern Connecticut State third (91). In the women's division, Seton Hall was second (146) and Manhattan third (90).

Sophia Smellie of Seton Hall was the meet's only double winner. She won the 200-meter dash in 24.44 seconds, edging her teammate Danielle Bailey (24.49). Smellie also won the 500 meters, in 1 minute 11.84 seconds, with her teammate Mia Campo a close second at 1:12.18.
