JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A record-setting woman, a former champion who suffered a tragic death, and the long-time race director were inducted this evening into the Gate River Run Hall of Fame.

Deena Kastor was inducted for her dominance with five Gate River Run championships, including setting the women’s USA 15K record on the Gate River Run course in 2003.Kastor, who also won a bronze medal in the 2004 Athens Olympic marathon, will compete in the Gate River Run for the sixth time this year.
