Brian Sell wins Fifth Third River Bank Run in Grand Rapids - Examiner.comPublished by
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Map, News) - Brian Sell, a Michigan man who is preparing to represent the U.S. in the marathon at the Summer Olympics in China, has won the 31st Annual Fifth Third River Bank Run. Sell finished Saturday's 25 kilometer run in 1 hour, 15 minutes and 8 seconds. The Grand Rapids Press reports he was nearly a minute ahead of Ethiopian runner Wellay Weldegiyorgis, who finished in 1:16.06. Sell, of Rochester Hills, qualified to represent the U.S. in Beijing at the Olympic trials in November. Caroline Chepkorir, a Kenyan who now lives in Royersford, Pa., was the first woman to finish the River Bank Run. Her time was 1:29.34. Read the full article at: www.examiner.com
