SU Athletics - Kohn Crowned 100m Dash Champion at Final Day of BIG EAST ChampionshipPublished by
VILLANOVA, Pa. – Graduate Aulton Kohn became the third Syracuse student-athlete to capture an individual event title after a first-place finish in the 100m dash at the final day of the BIG EAST Championships, hosted by Villanova at Jumbo Elliott Track. The Orange men (55) and women (47) each finished ninth overall. “We saw a number of good things over the three days at Villanova,” said third-year Syracuse head coach Chris Fox.
“We won three event titles and had several All-BIG EAST performers.
However, we’re not in a position to become complacent at this point in
the season. We hope to use this weekend as a building block and we
anticipate improvement down the stretch.”
Kohn joined seniors Jillian Drouin and Kyle Heath as
members of the Orange to hoist the hardware at the three-day event.
Drouin repeated as the heptathlon champion with an NCAA
Automatic-qualifying total of 5,554 points. Heath posted the top time
in the men’s 3000m steeplechase, clocking in at 8:57.39. Read the full article at: www.suathletics.com
