Marion Jones wanted to put
three different banned drugs into a single syringe to limit the number
of injections she would receive in the ramp-up to the 2000 Olympics, a
confessed steroid dealer said Wednesday. In testimony in federal court in San Francisco, Angel "Memo" Heredia
said that coach Trevor Graham told him he wanted to administer Jones'
cocktail of human growth hormone, insulin and the blood-doping drug EPO
with one injection rather than three. "There was a concern that Marion Jones was afraid of needles,"
Heredia told the jury in Graham's trial on charges of lying to federal
